I was once upon a time
A runner
Young and strong and driven
In a straight line
Bejaggered by nature and societyDesperately trying to understand
Pressed ever forward
Seeking meaning in life
Seeking to survive
Seeking to live better or well
Seeking each the nature of our soulI’m older now
Much older
And hardly now
A pedestrian
Age delivering infirmity
A new perspectiveOnce I was an infant
Just discovering the lines
Between shadow and light
I’m now less aware of detail
Feeling out broader perspective
Even infirmity delivers revelation
Wonderful site you did for your dad. I enjoyed his poetry and his life pictures. Thank you for sharing your dad, Mitch.
Sincerely
Wendy. (A friend of your mom)
